Jennifer Tomshack
Jennifer Tomshack is a writer, photographer, and communications professional based in southwest Michigan. Her creative work explores themes of belonging, memory, vocation, and place, often shaped by the landscapes and cultural textures of the Great Lakes region. From Lake Michigan shorelines to rural towns and northern forests, her photography reflects a deep attentiveness to threshold moments—where departure, return, and transformation quietly meet.
Jennifer has spent much of her career telling stories rooted in faith, justice, and community through her communications work with national Catholic organizations. Her writing and visual projects have appeared in both editorial and exhibition contexts, and she is currently developing several long-form creative projects that blend literary reflection with image-making.
She continues to draw inspiration from the Midwest’s layered histories, resilient communities, and understated beauty, which remain central to her artistic vision.
